Facial reflexology / Facial reflex therapy
Facial reflexology is an effective complementary therapy for all ages assisting the body with natural healing process and general balance. It is an all-round holistic solution for health and wellbeing.
By stimulating the micro-systems of various zones on the face with gentle massage and pressure points, signals are sent via the nervous system directly to the brain, organs, glands, muscles, tendons and joints as well as the lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, hormonal and circulatory systems.
These impulses help the body align energetically, help with chemical equilibrium, positive changes are realised after each session, and with repetition, the body’s functions can normalise.
It is a very gentle and relaxing treatment, yet profound, and targets the underlying cause of any health issues through a personalised treatment plan.
Facial reflexology helps with stress related symptoms, immune system illnesses, hormonal imbalances, neurological imbalances, trauma, injury recovery, migraines, depression, allergies and more….
Besides relieving symptoms, the therapy enhances the sense of wellbeing on all levels – physical, mental and emotional.
Facial reflex therapy (SorensensistemTM) was devised and developed over the past 40 years by the celebrated Danish reflexologist Lone Sorensen. It is a unification of effective healing methods and philosophies from ancient civilizations with modern science of neuro-anatomy from experts around the world.
Facial reflex therapy for children with special needs
Many children today are suffering from myriad of symptoms, illnesses and dysfunctions that interfere with their natural development for them to flourish, and reach their full potential
Facial Reflex Therapy can help.
Facial reflex therapy for children with special needs is based on the same principles as Facial Reflexology; however, each session is much shorter and includes a little work on the hands and feet too.
This treatment is highly supportive for children with learning difficulties, concentration problems, dyspraxia, social and behavioural issues, anxiety and stress, ADD, ADHD, autism spectrum, growth and developmental problems, speech, visual and hearing impairments, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and other neurological dysfunctions.
Children love this soothing and relaxing time, and benefit enormously.
After the initial consultation and 1st treatment, the individualised treatment protocol is taught to the parents/caregivers in a separate workshop (with or without the child, depending on the individual case).
They then work with their children in the comfort of their own home, and together, we monitor the child’s progress in 3 months cycles.
Please note: for severe cases, we can discuss a more hands-on plan.
